Devin Hill starting taking jazz guitar lessons late in 2006 and asked me to comp through some standards with him while he practiced. As a self-taught rock guitarist, I realized that I needed to start practicing myself to play these tunes. We eventually recruited Dave Herr to play drums with us. These twelve recordings are documents of rehearsals, most of the takes coming from September 27, 2008. Dave was stricken suddenly with a brain tumor in early 2009 and we never got to make a proper record of the material. This is the second compilation of that period with new mixes made in May, 2020
