the tunnel came up on the outside we made a path to the mainline climbed aboard an open boxcar filled with cannonballs and paper knives wearing lion tamer costumes cleaning up after the goats hanging out with the magicians seeing if he'll show us the ropes and when he's asleep sneak into his trunk try to find that book that he stole from the monks

i offer up what's been offered to me i only say what i've seen sun turn over another gear in the slow sweet vine of my heart the truth is told by a blackbird calling finds the seeds at my feet sun turn over another gear in the slow sweet vine of my heart there's another one sleeping he's drunk on his wine we've got the sure darkness to uncover the night who's been building these stages who's been writing these plays who's been calling the casting director and catering to what she says fire in the hole, take the shot fire in the hole, feed the real fire in the hole, one more battle fire in the hole, i hope to steal

That's called Jawa, it was a wild dog. I don't know how the hell and, ah, this dog used to go up, back and forth between my brother's house and my house, and ah, he, the dog was a tremendous dog. It could dive under water, swim under water, I'd go swimming with that damn dog and they'd be putting in a net and the dog would go down there and swim up and look the guys working in the net under water and he'd look them right in their eyes, you know, amazing. It was a wild dog. I don't know how the hell. Well, after my wife died this dog took care of me and make me go to the beach. It would just insist and I'd go and he wanted to go to this beach by the lighthouse there and it was deserted, m very few people down there during the day, go find a great big palm frond and drag it over to me and want me to throw it in the water so it could go and get it. Well there was a long, this is that lighthouse by the tip of Diamondhead, okay, a big long place where the water is about that deep and then it drops off. Well, i'd carry, make the dog sit on the shore and I'd walk out with this goddamn palm frond, this great big long bastard and then just barely get it out as far as I could get it and I'd go back and sit on the beach. "Okay, dog get it." And that dog would run out and have it's mouth down, the water would be squirting like this out of the side of it, get to the drop, jump like that out and then grab the palm frond and pull it in. You know, swim in with this goddamn palm frond, that dog would swim you wouldn't believe it, drag it all the way in and pull it up in the sand. Now, it's over to there and then start digging a hole and bury this goddamn palm frond. I remember, who the hell, ah, the singer, Nabors, Jim Nabors, he had a house down that side of Diamondhead and he came walking along and watched that performance one time. It broke him up.

Penny King 03:19
stuck in the basement with a bucket of night to give away to the crickets stealing time on a cricket wing house up and down the alley are noisy with belief like a kind with his penny and a crowd without rest now don't come looking 'round here bringing up your spirits every time they whisper strange nothings that sound like a promise but end up another crime here we go here we go then we can't afford to wait another day to give away like a king with his penny or a dog with his fight

about

Collaboration between Dave Herr, Jay Off and Tom Schroeder in which we started with jams. We then each chose four sections from the jams and submitted them to "loop improvement." Each of us were responsible for editing and mixing four of the tracks on the album.
