lyrics

That's called Jawa, it was a wild dog. I don't know how the hell and, ah, this dog used to go up, back and forth between my brother's house and my house, and ah, he, the dog was a tremendous dog. It could dive under water, swim under water, I'd go swimming with that damn dog and they'd be putting in a net and the dog would go down there and swim up and look the guys working in the net under water and he'd look them right in their eyes, you know, amazing. It was a wild dog. I don't know how the hell. Well, after my wife died this dog took care of me and make me go to the beach. It would just insist and I'd go and he wanted to go to this beach by the lighthouse there and it was deserted, m very few people down there during the day, go find a great big palm frond and drag it over to me and want me to throw it in the water so it could go and get it. Well there was a long, this is that lighthouse by the tip of Diamondhead, okay, a big long place where the water is about that deep and then it drops off. Well, i'd carry, make the dog sit on the shore and I'd walk out with this goddamn palm frond, this great big long bastard and then just barely get it out as far as I could get it and I'd go back and sit on the beach. "Okay, dog get it." And that dog would run out and have it's mouth down, the water would be squirting like this out of the side of it, get to the drop, jump like that out and then grab the palm frond and pull it in. You know, swim in with this goddamn palm frond, that dog would swim you wouldn't believe it, drag it all the way in and pull it up in the sand. Now, it's over to there and then start digging a hole and bury this goddamn palm frond. I remember, who the hell, ah, the singer, Nabors, Jim Nabors, he had a house down that side of Diamondhead and he came walking along and watched that performance one time. It broke him up.
